Description

Raging Blast Vine: Good evening folks and welcome to our coverage of the 2012 Fantasy Olympic games, live from beautiful London, England. I’m Vine, the Raging Blast Alchemist.

Roy Mustang: And I’m Colonel Roy Mustang, the Flame Alchemist, and we’ll be your hosts for this event.

Raging Blast Vine: We begin our coverage at synchronized diving, where, in their first Summer Olympic games, the team from Gallia showed they are not to be trifled with on the synchronized diving platform as the Valkyrian duo of Alicia Melchiot and Riela Marcellius fended off the reigning champions to win the gold.

Roy Mustang: Gymnastics have always been a tight field here at the Fantasy Olympics, and this year was no exception. Even so, for the third straight Olympic games, Samus Aran was able to medal in three events, including a gold medal in the uneven bars.

Raging Blast Vine: On now to one of the biggest upsets of the night, Isara Gunther is at the track with the whole story.

Isara Gunther: That’s right Vine, I’m standing here at the Fantasy Olympic track, where earlier today, a surprising upset say the representative of the Z-Fighters, Son Goku, narrowly defeating the reigning Olympic champion in any event involving speed, the Sega representative, Sonic the Hedgehog.

Sonic the Hedgehog: Wait, you’re kidding right? I was the favorite to win that race? How did you figure that? I was racing against a Super Saiyan!”

Isara Gunther: There you have it, Vine, Roy, back to you. How did anyone think Sonic was going to beat Goku?
Anthem: [link]

Raging Blast Vine: Are we sure Sonic was the favored to win that race?

Roy Mustang: How should I know? I just read the cue car… oh, and we’re back. Moving on to Table Tennis. It was an intense match between Soul Societies Ichigo Kurosaki, and the Grand Line competitor, Monkey D. Luffy, but in the end only one could prevail and that one was…

Raging Blast: Say it.

Mustang: I don’t want to.

Raging Blast: You have to.

Mustang: Fine, the gold medal winner was Monkey D Luffy from the Grand Line.
Anthem: [link]

Raging Blast: Okay, whose idea was it to use the 4kids song for the Grand Line Anthem?

Mustang: On to fencing now.

Raging Blast: Isara, take it away.

Isara Gunther: Vine, tonight was perhaps one of the most legendary nights in fencing history. After seeing him go down with a terrible injury in the world fencing competitions last year and with his age becoming an ever growing factor, it was uncertain whether or not he’d even be able to participate in these games. However, once again, Kenshin Himura has proven that there really is no such thing as impossible odds, defeating not only the three representatives from the Claymore team, but fending off the highly favored Cloud Strife to secure Olympic gold.

Mustang: An inspiring story to be sure.

Raging Blast: Alright, I’m done with the cue cards.

Mustang: We’re on to skeet shooting where… wait, you’ve gotta be kidding me, she won?

Raging Blast: Are you kidding? When this girl takes a shot at something, there’s no reason to even bother dodging because she’ll still hit you. She pulled off a perfect score in every round of the event. One Hundred shots for one hundred hits.

Mustang: Wow, I’m impressed. Looks like Gallia took gold in shooting as well as Marina Wulfstan wins the event with a perfect score.

Raging Blast: Alright, back to track where Moka Akashiya was able to net Yokai Academy its only medal at these games, defeating team Nintendo’s Daisy to win gold in the 110 m hurdles.
Anthem: [link]
Mustang: Now to the field where the Village Hidden in the Leaves’ Naruto Uzumaki netted a gold medal in the Javelin throw. Not to take away from Naruto’s achievement, but it is worth mentioning that no Z-fighters were entered in this event.

Raging Blast: How is that worth mentioning.

Mustang: Everyone knows that winning a strength event with no z-fighters present is hardly a win. It’d be like beating Valkyria Chronicles on Selvaria Bles’ day off. Sure you won, but did you accomplish anything.

Raging Blast: Alright, we both know your just sore cause Vegeta beat Armstrong in the Hammer Throw.

Mustang: That judge gave Vegeta a few extra inches.

Raging Blast: Officially, they didn’t give Vegeta any inches. It’s hard to measure where something landed when it burned up upon reentry into the Earth’s atmosphere.

Raging Blast: Alright, moving past Mustang’s whining to one of the nights most touching stories.

Isara Gunther: Vine, today here on this lake, the medal race of duo rowing took place. Now as many of you heard, one of the rowers for the Claymore team, Windcutter Flora, was critically injured during an Awaken Being Hunt last month and has yet to recover. With Flora’s loss and Deneve, Helen, and Cynthia’s defeats at the hands of Kenshin Himura in the fencing, it looked almost certain that this year, the Claymore team would be returning home empty handed. However, in an amazing turn of events and after being in only 4th place after half the race, the new Claymore rowing duo of Phantom Miria and Clare were able to pull off a miraculous win, overtaking the Amestrian team and claiming gold for their injured teammate. Our prayers go out to Flora and we wish her a speedy recovery and congratulations to the Claymore rowing team.

Raging Blast: *sniff* That’s so touching, I could cry. Okay, moving on. To… ughh, Ring exercise where… I can’t believe I’m saying this… the gold medal was one by Team Amestris’ Fullmetal Alchemist Edward Elric.

Mustang: Now, I’m sure a lot of you are wondering whether or not it’s legal to have an automail arm for this event, well, all we can say is…

Raging Blast: We wondered the exact same thing.
Anthem: [link]

Raging Blast: Alright, on to archery. Isara, I heard it was a pretty interesting year for archery. Care to fill me in?

Isara Gunther: To say this year was interesting is an understatement, Vine. Now, the last time Hyrule’s Link failed to win the gold in archery, I wasn’t even born yet, and this year was no exception. What was different this year, was how close the event came to ending differently. Going into the final round of the event, Link actually trailed two other competitors, Crimiean representative, Shinon, and Daein representative, Leonardo. In an astonishing turn of events, Link took the lead in the final round and forced Shinon to Silver and Leonardo to Bronze, but a lot of people are wondering whether or not the king or archery will be able to hold his title in Rio in the 2016 games.

Mustang: And now for one of the favorite events of the Fantasy Olympics, the armored Judo event.

Raging Blast: Now, for those of you who aren’t aware, Armored Judo is a form of the Judo event in which competitors fight while wearing their own individually designed suits of mechanical armor, and for the last 3 Olympics since the event was made an official Olympic event, it has been dominated by the girls of the Infinite Stratos Academy, who for quite a while seemed to be unbeatable.

Mustang: This year, an intense debate was held as to whether or not the event should remain as part of the Olympic schedule, but it was finally decided to keep the event, and it turned out to be a good decision as this year, the IS academy was completely decimated by a newcomer to these games. The independent competitor…

Raging Blast: IRON MAN!!! WAHOO WE LOVE YOU IRON MAN!!!”

Isara: Vine, you’re supposed to be unbiased.

Raging Blast: I am far from unbiased when it comes to Iron Man. Isara, see if you can get him to sign my cloak.
Anthem: [link]
Mustang: Well on that note, I think we’re done here.

Raging Blast: Well sports fans, it’s been a blast. I’m Raging Blast and for Roy Mustang and Isara Gunther, I bid you farewell, and I look forward to seeing you all in Mother Russia for the 2014 Winter Fantasy Olympic games.

Isara Gunther: Providing they ask us to host again, which after this show, I’m not sure they will.
